Camp Mountain Run – Rain or Shine (Freeze or Thaw)
The Bucktail Council Cub Scout Klondike Derby is scheduled for Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Camp Mountain Run. Registration starts at 8am in Hallstrom Lodge. Opening Ceremony at 9am by the flag pole in front of the Walker Center. This will be a fun filled day in which all of your Cub Scouts (Lions, Tigers, Wolves, Bears and Webelos) enjoy the wonders of the winter world. There will be many events that can be held in the snow, including sled riding. ALL EVENTS ARE BEING HELD OUTDOORS SO DRESS WARM AND PREPARE FOR A DAY IN THE COLD AND SNOW.
Lunch will be available in the dining hall and must be pre-ordered and paid prior to the event. There will not be extra lunches available at the door. (Lunch includes soup, a sandwich, snack and drink).
Packs may prepare their own lunch if they choose. Lunch is provided as a convenience to attendees who do not wish to prepare their own.
We would encourage you to bring the entire family and stay in one of the cabins as part of a family camping experience. Cabins are available for one or two night stays. Check the council office for availability or go to the Cabin Rental System.
