Fall 2019 Recruiting Kickoff – Wednesday, July 31st
We recognize that the fall, back-to-school season represents the best time to recruit and retain new boys for Cub Scout Packs,Boy Scout Troops, and Venture Crews. You, your volunteers and your Scout families know your program better than anyone else and we want to help you share the excitement, enthusiasm and dedication they feel for Scouting.
Therefore we are asking that you dedicate two reliable volunteers for your recruiting effort. As we will be visiting more than 60 schools and need to work far in advance to arrange to visit classrooms, we are asking that you submit the name and contact information of your volunteers and your rally/recruitment/signup date, time and location before August 1, 2019, via email to: gregg.bennett@scouting.org (Allegheny Laurels District units) or sheri.price@scouting.org (Eastern Wilds units). You can also call our Council Service Center at 814-371-5650.
Please make plans to attend the Council Membership Kick-off and Weiner Roast with your volunteers en tow at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at Camp Mountain Run (DuBois Kiwanis Pavilion – Parking lot), 4980 Mountain Run Road) in Penfield. Be sure to go to our reservation system to sign up so that we can be sure to have enough food. You will be able to share ideas on successful recruitment efforts and receive materials to help you unit recruit the next generation of Scouts! Scouting is a great program and we need to offer it to as many families as possible.
